FILM PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
ALL MY WORKSHOPS ARE 1 ON 1
(BUT YOU CAN BRING A FRIEND TO MODEL)
AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP YOU WILL KNOW HOW TO SHOOT AND DEVELOP FILM ALL BY YOURSELF WITHOUT THE NEED FOR A DARKROOM!
To get you started out on the right path we will go over photography theory and how to use it while composing a shot.
We will go over all the controls on a manual camera. You will learn what they are, when & how to use them, and how to break the rules. This information can be used on modern digital cameras as well. Shooting manual WILL make you a better photographer.
Depending on the weather and what you are interested in shooting, we will meet at a location or meet up at the Crooked Window home-studio in West Jefferson to shoot. Then, we will shoot through a roll of 35mm or 120 film. You can decide if you want to learn black & white (easy to develop at home) or color film (need temp control and chemicals expire faster).
After the shoot we will go to my studio in West Jefferson and learn to load the film into a Patterson tank and develop it. All questions you have will be answered and we can hang your film to dry afterwards.
